What Is Holistic Massage?
Holistic Massage is always tailored to the individual, however it generally involves
deeper tissue massage and techniques which stimulate the body's circulation and
lymphatic system to eliminate toxins.  It can be deeply relaxing or stimulating, with
pressure to suit individual preferences.
How Is Holistic Massage Different From Aromatherapy Massage?
Aromatherapy massage tends to be a more gentle and relaxing massage, allowing the essential oils to
do the work as they absorb into the body through the skin. Holistic massage is usually done with a plain
massage oil without essential oils added, and tends to involve a more stimulating massage with firmer
pressure and deeper massage techniques.  However, all treatments are individual and, as an example,
a client with muscular pain and tension might benefit from the techniques used in holistic massage, but
using a blend of essential oils.
What Are The Benefits?
Holistic Massage affects every system of the body, boosting the circulation
which in turn improves blood flow to bones, joints and muscles.
Some clients also prefer the therapeutic benefits of holistic massage, using
a blend of oils to stimulate the mind and body and leave them feeling
refreshed and full of energy rather than deeply relaxed.
The lymphatic system, digestion and urinary systems work to eliminate toxins and boost the body's
natural healing processes and immunity.
The skin tone is improved and deep massage techniques help to eliminate fatty deposits and tone the
muscles.
This treatment is wonderful for relieving muscular tension and pain, particularly stress related "knotty
shoulders" and back pain.
